Dear Friends,

Jodi Black here, one of the owners of Carolina Game Tables. Our Carolina Game Tables family and showroom is located less than 100 miles from Asheville, a city heavily featured in the news following Hurricane Helene due to the widespread devastation.

Shock. Sadness. Grief. Restlessness and an urge to help.

Luckily, our tables are manufactured farther east and that facility and factory staff are safe. Our immediate area is still—a week later—dealing with loss of power, water, internet, and cell service. While we haven’t experienced the same level of destruction seen on social media or news broadcasts, there’s still a lot of cleanup work to do, from removing fallen trees to restoring utility lines. We’re incredibly fortunate in the wake of this disaster, and we’re motivated to DO MORE.

We figure you might want to DO SOMETHING, too.

Hurricane Helene Relief Clean-Up Buckets

Our office team is partnering with Lutheran Disaster Response Carolinas to provide much-needed Clean Up Buckets. We’re creating at least 10 Clean Up Buckets to donate to the cause.

If you want to help, too, we pledge that with each purchase of this $100 Hurricane Helene Relief “item,” our office staff will assemble and donate one Clean Up Bucket for distribution to help those in need. Any extra buckets are used elsewhere in the United States through Lutheran Disaster Response. We hope to deliver these personally, but won’t get in the way.

Each Clean Up Bucket contains essential supplies for after the storm, including trash bags, cleaning solutions, bug spray, respirator masks, clotheslines, clothespins, sponges, and of course the ever-useful 5 gallon bucket.

The estimated cost of assembling one Clean Up Bucket is $100, and DOES NOT contribute in any monetary way to Carolina Game Tables. Please note that this purchase IS NOT tax-deductible in any way.

Other Hurricane Helene Relief Efforts We Recommend

One Table, One Bucket

We pledge to donate at least 10 Clean Up Buckets and will donate another for every table sold through the end of 2024. Want to double the impact? You can add another bucket (or more!) by adding this $100 Hurricane Helene Relief Bucket item to your cart.

Carolina Game Tables has new, THREE PIECE TOP, game tables now in stock and on sale in the Signature line. Our Signature Dining Game Tables, Banquet Game Tables, and Tablezillas can ship as early as two weeks from purchase! Rest assured, these tables are high and dry and ready made, waiting for you to select the fabric color. After that little bit of production finishes and they complete final inspection, they are ready to ship. Please read about shipping options here. If you have any questions, please reach out to info@carolinagametables.com.

Game Night at the Showroom

There are mental health needs here, too. A local game store closed and people are asking for a place to meet and play games. We can’t operate as a game store with regular hours, but we can open up for one night to let people gather, play games, share stories, process trauma, and find reasons to laugh together. Clint and I will have demos of our Savage Worlds games ready to play, no experience necessary.

We’ll also accept donations of items to put inside the Clean Up Buckets:  LDR Carolinas Clean Up Buckets and Childrens Comfort Kits Accessed 2024 10 04

We hope you’ll join us for some fun, and help pack a few Clean Up Buckets!
